This project involved the redesign of the living, meals and kitchen areas for a prestigious Moonee Ponds residency.
A harmonious colour palette was woven throughout the redesign of these areas so as to not compete with other areas of the home. Stone, stainless steel and high gloss surfaces to joinery was specified. Underbench lighting provides necessary task lighting whilst the door trims provide added functionality and deliver a contemporary feel.
The style of the architecture dictated an overlay of classical elements, chosen with a contemporary edge to ensure functionality and less formality. Textural interest was created by way of materials selected and selected fabrics such as chenilles, wool and silk, create visual and tactile interest. The deep red serves as an anchoring colour to a largely neutral colour scheme. The selection of materials and finishes add to the luxurious feel of the home and provide depth to the interior.
